Good:

The Smartphone offers a brilliant screen, comes with Android Jelly Bean OS packed in a powerful SoC, long battery life and an affordable price.


Bad:
It loses its credibility in certain aspects like camera which holds the shutter button but doesn’t start burst mode immediately. Even for macro shots, the camera tales a couple of seconds to focus and capture and the image. It has a slimy and slippery body and prone to scratch easily.

The bottom line:
The Smartphone offers a very long battery life and visually-appealing at a cheap and affordable price which makes it one of the most selling phones around the world.

                                             


Design:
The phone capitalizes on the popularity of phablet style handsets, measuring 144*74*10.7mm where the dimensions are pocketable and handy and weighs about 157grams which is fine for a Smartphone. Below the display, there are three capacitive keys and above a front facing camera and a notification light.

Processor and Operating system:
The phone is powered by MediaTek's MT6589 Quad-core processor of 1.2GHz accompanied by 1GB RAM and runs on Android Jelly Bean OS.

Micromax A116 Canvas HD is designed with a 5-inch display and features a screen of IPS Capacitive Touch Screen with a resolution of 1280*720 pixels.

Battery Life:
Powered by Li-Ion battery of 2000mAh, the phone offers up to 7 hours and 45 minutes of continuous video playback and up to 6 hours talk time and 300 hours stand-by time.

Camera:
The Canvas HD is designed with 8MP shooter camera that has color effect, scene modes, white balance and usual selection of exposure. For stills, the camera is capable of burst mode, up to 99 shots. It records video and is limited to 720p HD resolution when it easily manages to record in 1080p if the video quality is set to “Fine”.



Storage and Connectivity:
The Smartphone supports only two bands for 2G and just one for 3G. Besides, it includes connectivity features like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.0 and USB plug-and-play support. Storage wise, it has an internal memory of 4GB which can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card slot.

Price and Availability:
The phone is available for a bargaining price of Rs. 13, 990, which makes it the most powerful Smartphone to purchase under Rs. 15000 and it is available in all the major cities in India.
